Technical bending normally uses a thin walled tube and a tight bend radius. Some of the many uses are for Aerospace and Heat Transfer.
As the ratio between the tube outside diameter and the bending radius gets smaller it requires a lubricated mandrel to be placed inside of the tube during the bending process. This type of bending demands a more complex tooling set-up on the machines and increases the cost of the bends.
