To fulfill various requirements in terms of driving and control conditions for its piezo actuators (static, pulse, dynamic), the CEDRAT Group has developed 3 different families of standard drivers:
These standard drivers can be equipped with controllers and sensor conditioners.
Miniature Amplifier CAµ10 : The CAµ10 is a unipolar (5V..150V) miniature linear amplifier with low noise and low cost features. A SPI digital to analogue converter is able to convert 12 bits words in analogue signal for the linear amplifier. Optional inputs can be connected if necessary to shunt the SPI bus and send directly the analogue order on the linear amplifiers. The CAµ10 is compatible with the numeric controller UC45. Maximum output current: 5 mA
Compact Amplifier CA45 : The CA45 is a bipolar (-20 / +150 V) low cost and low noise compact single channel linear amplifier for driving low voltage piezoelectric actuators. The CA45 is a standalone one channel amplifier encased in a RK12 small rack, and can be equiped with feedback sensors in order to provide a closed loop control. Maximal Output Current(mA): 30
Linear Amplifier LA75A : The Linear Amplifier LA75A is designed to drive capacitive loads like Piezoelectric Actuators with extremely low noise. It can perform amplifing operations in the -20/150 V range. The LA75A is a medium-power amplifier, integrated inside a Rack (RK42F) equipped with an AC/DC converter LC75A board. Maximal Output Current (mA): 90; Max Number Of Channel: 3 per board
Linear Amplifier LA75B : The Linear Amplifier LA75 is designed to drive capacitive loads like Piezoelectric Actuators with extremely low noise. It can perform amplifing operations in the -20/150 V range. The LA75B is a high-power amplifier, integrated inside a Rack (RK42F) equiped with an AC/DC converter LC75B board. Maximal Output Current (mA): 360; Max Number Of Channel: 2 per board
Linear Amplifier LA75C : The Linear Amplifier LA75 is designed to drive capacitive loads like Piezoelectric Actuators with extremely low noise. It can perform amplifing operations in the -20/150 V range. The LA75C has a much higher current capability, integrated inside a Rack (RK63F) equiped with an AC/DC converter LC75C. Maximal Output Current(A): 2,4; Max Number Of Channel: 1 per board
Switching Power SP75A : The SP75 is a bipolar (-20 / +150 V) switching power amplifier for driving low voltage piezoelectric actuators. The SP75 is integrated inside a Rack equipped with an AC/DC converter LC75B board. Maximal Output Current (mA): 300; Max Number Of Channel: 2; width (mm): 10F; height (mm): 3U
Switching Power SP75B : The SP75 is a bipolar (-20 / +150 V) switching power amplifier for driving low voltage piezoelectric actuators. The SP75 amplifier exists through A or B version and is integrated inside a Rack equipped with an AC/DC converter board LC75C. Maximal Output Current (A): 3; Max Number Of Channel: 2; Width (mm): 10F; Height (mm): 3U
Strain Gages Conditioner SG75 : The SG75 Strain Gages conditioner is iattached to a 19' card. The conditioners should normally drive full Strain Gages bridges. The gain of the conditioner is generally set starting from the Strain Gages bridges bonded onto Piezo Actuators. This board can be sold on its iwn in a RK12F rack. Output Voltage(V): -12...12; Max. number of channels: 3 per board
Controller UC45 : The UC45 board uses a microcontroller to provide fully digital control of piezo-actuators at a rate of 10KHz. It features ADC and DAC with 16bits resolution, for applications where high resolution is required, such as ultra-precise positioning. 3 channels; Sampling frequency: 10 kHz; A/D converters: 4; D/A converters: 2; Computer interface: USB
Controller UC75 : The new UC75 is a new plate-form including real time targets able to improve the performances of the control techniques of the actuators. The UC75 includes a National Instrument Core based on Compact RIO@NI and the power of the Labview@NI Libraries to control any system with fast ticks with deterministic time. A/D converters: 4 up to 32; D/A converters: 4 up to 8; Resolution: 16 bits
