Biopharmaceutical Temperature Measurement Products

Ultra Electronics, NSPI manufactures a full range of RTDs, thermocouples and thermowells that have been designed to meet the environmental, performance and surface finish requirements of the pharmaceutical and biotech markets. The sensors typically feature enhanced performance specifications and 316L stainless steel materials. They can also be electropolished to a Ra of 0.2 microns (8 microinches). Permanently etched tagging information and calibration certificates are also available.

Thermowells can be specified as weld-in or clamp style, with all 316L stainless materials and electropolished finishes. Weld-in thermowells can be supplied with material certifications and permanently marked "heat numbers".

Complementary programmable analog and smart temperature transmitters are available featuring microprocessor-based electronics for superior performance and flexibility in economical, head mount or DIN-rail packages. The head mount model features fully potted electronics for exceptional protection against moisture, gold plated terminals for corrosion protection and captive screw terminals. The DIN-rail version is packaged in a low profile/compact module for mounting in confined spaces. Both transmitters are fully configurable using either a PC or HART Communicator.

Autoclave RTDs

Designed specifically for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical industries, Weed Instrument Autoclave RTD's eliminate all of the problems associated with standard probes where the pressure and vacuum cycling of autoclaves forces moisture inside the probe, resulting in incorrect, low temperature readings and reduced life.

Our Autoclave RTD's are completely sealed. As a result, the entire sensor assembly of the Weed Instrument Autoclave RTD, including the probe and cables extending from the RTD, can be completely submerged in water without affecting accuracy or long-term stability.

Today, Ultra Electronics, NSPI Autoclave RTD's are the first choice of technicians responsible for sterilization.
