Vaccon Company, Inc. of Medway, Massachusetts offers an adjustable, air-operated Vacuum Spraying System (VSS) for spraying liquids and/or fine powders to coat tablets, pellets and pills. The VSS's large spray orifice enables it to operate using extremely low pressure; hence, no clogging. It can be custom configured to control the spray-flow, droplets, and material powder through-put to meet specific application requirements.

The VSS is made of stainless steel and comes in 4 sizes. Options include programmable logic controls, single or multiple nozzles from 1-10 spray units per system. The VSS can be used as a stand-alone coating operation to produce a fine mist or a heavy flow in amounts from 10cc/min up to 2 gallons/min. After coating the tablets, if a drying process is required, air-operated dryers are employed for rapid drying to reduce manufacturing time by up to 75%. With no moving parts, the VSS provides a safe, low maintenance, dependable operation without a filter or regulator.
