VACUUBRAND has introduced the Tyro12™ oil-free vacuum pump in time to save you money during these difficult economic times. Suitable for a wide range of lab applications, the VACUUBRAND® Tyro12™ vacuum pump saves money at purchase and for the life of the pump. Listing for only $1495, the pump's operation is completely dry, so you never face the costs of oil changes or disposal. In typical application, the pump can support your rotary evaporator, gel dryer, filtration operations and other routine lab vacuum applications for many years before the first scheduled service, and the recommended service takes a half hour and can be done right in the lab. Lifetime operating and service costs couldn't be lower!

The Tyro12™ offers 12torr (15mbar) ultimate vacuum and 35lpm (1.2cfm) free air capacity, which makes it suitable for most lab applications except freeze drying and room-temperature evaporation of high boiling-point solvents. For example, the Tyro12™ can evaporate the following solvents at room temperature:

• water
• dichloromethane
• tert-butanol and higher alcohols
• ethyl acetate
• n-hexane
• chloroform
• toluene

Many other popular solvents can be evaporated in heated applications.

The Tyro12™ has a fluoropolymer flow past that offers exceptional corrosion resistance. The pump features an integrated gas ballast that lets you purge condensed solvents from the pump to ensure peak performance, so it is especially tolerant of condensed vapors. And the pumps are so quiet, you'll barely know they're operating.
