MODEL F86145B0 AUTO-GRIP™ is a heavy-duty, gravity-actuated, mechanical drum grip. It's actually more efficient than most hydraulic models on consistently sized loads, and its easy attachment allows a single operator to pick-up, transport and unload empty or full drums up to 1500 pounds.

Valley Craft's quality-made AUTO-GRIP manually adjusts to fit 30, 55 or 85-gallon overpack drums 18"-28" in diameter for convenience in handling a varying workload, and handles most smooth-sided fiber and steel drums as well as standard ribbed steel drums. The unit's contoured, recessed, 3" jaws are rubber lined and lift drums with gripping pressure exactly equalized to the weight of the drum. The SPRING-AND-CAM ACTUATED jaws grip automatically as they engage the drum, maintain a constant grip and simultanteously release when the drum is set down. Because plastic drums can easily lose their shape when gripped, we also design an Auto-Grip made especially for plastic drums.
