Neoprene's combination of properties include:
- Resists degradation from sun, ozone and weather
- Performs well in contact with oils and many chemicals
- Remains useful over a wide temperature range
- Displays outstanding physical toughness
- Resists burning inherently better than exclusively hydrocarbon rubbers
- Outstanding resistance to damage caused by flexing and twisting.
Natural rubber is fairly easy to process. It has good low temperature properties, excellent elongation and a high resistance to tears and abrasions. Natural rubber exhibits poor resistance to ozone, oxygen, sunlight, solvents and oils. It temperature range is -55º F to 85º F and can be easily bonded to metal.
