New VICTREX® ST™ Polymer Improves Mechanical Performance in Demanding Temperature Environments

VICTREX® ST™ polymer is an innovative new product line and part of the VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer family. It is designed to perform in the most challenging temperature environments, enabling new solutions in the automotive, oil and gas or electronics industry, specifically for use in applications requiring a combination of high temperature durability, mechanical integrity and dimensional stability. Equipment or parts made with VICTREX ST have the potential to perform better, last longer and help customers realize long-term cost savings.

VICTREX ST is a specialty product with two initial grades:

• STG45 polymer (an unfilled granule grade)
• ST45GL30 polymer (a glass-filled granule grade)

VICTREX ST satisfies the strictest requirements of the oil and gas industry, opening up new application opportunities for customers who work at temperatures over 300°C (572°F). The unique feature of VICTREX ST is that it can provide improved mechanical performance at higher temperatures to satisfy the demand for higher performance materials, like those found in the automotive, oil and gas, and electronics industry, while maintaining all of the properties of VICTREX PEEK polymer.

VICTREX ST is a metal replacement option for many types of applications such as seals, disk drive carriers, connectors, rings, test sockets, wire coatings and valve plates.

The combination of benefits provided by VICTREX ST polymer provides customers with another option when placing applications in demanding temperature environments, over
300°C (572°F). Equipment or parts made with VICTREX ST have the potential to perform better, last longer and help customers realize long-term cost savings.
