VCC's LPC Series 4mm Litepipe® is designed for use with both vertical and horizontal surface mount LEDs where the Litepipe^® is attached directly to the display panel. Combining the physical attachment advantage with the fact that the Litepipe^® is available in eighty-one lengths, the designer now has complete freedom in the positioning of the circuit board within the chassis. These features allow for easy board insertion in final assembly or removal for inspection and repair.

The display lens design of the Litepipe^® is low-profile with Fresnel rings. The Litepipe^® lens will disperse the light up to 160°. The light receiving end of the Litepipe^® has a concave surface designed to be positioned in front of the horizontal surface mounted LED or directly over the top of the vertical surface mounted LED. This concave surface maximizes the gathering of the LED light output, increasing the efficiency of the Litepipe^® display. The Litepipe^® mixes and blends the LED multi-colors into a single color as the light passes through the uniquely designed Litepipe^® surfaces.

These Litepipes^® are tubular in shape, molded from an optical grade of acrylic plastic for clarity with highly polished surfaces for optimum light refraction and transmission. The LPC is secured directly to the display panel by means of a retaining clip or grommet.

• APPLICATION – CLIPLITE litepipes provide a method of transmitting the light of a surface mount LED to the display panel. Both vertical and horizontal PCB surface mount LEDs can be displayed in this manner. The litepipe is also capable of blending multicolor LED light into a single color.
• INTENSITY - CLIPLITE litepipes have a unique near flush design and are still able to provide up to 160 degrees of viewing angle. This light output achievement is accomplished by using a concaved shape on the receiving surface which collects the LEDs light, and fresnel rings on the opposite surface that disperse the light.
• VERSATILITY - CLIPLITE litepipes are available in .020" increments from .200" to 2.0". This wide range of lengths simplifies the PCB positioning in relation to the display panel. Litepipes are secured directly to the display panel with no mechanical attachment to the PCB. Thus the installation and removal to the circuit board can be accomplished without disturbing the display panel.
• INSTALLATION - CLIPLITE litepipes are easy to install. Slide the litepipe thru the panel opening and slip the retainer in place. Finish the installation by pressing the retainer up against the display panel.
