Visual Communications Company, Inc. - Dual Row Female Locking Header Connector

See Product Details

The Conxrite® CNX V Series is a single or dual row, male pin header designed to provide a positive locking method of securing connectors to a printed circuit board. Previously, there were three categories of headers with the prices and styles varying in each. The first header introduced to the market was a simple vertical PCB-mounted pin. As equipment evolved, engineers required a more effective method of retaining the connector and header together. This prompted the introduction of the friction lock header. To accomplish this, a design change was made adding a friction tab to the side of the header base. In fact, this locking mechanism is not truly positive in nature but rather a method of adding friction pressure to the side of the header connector increasing the extraction force required.

Features:

  • Designed with a positive locking mechanism. "Click it's Locked".
  • Polarization is preserved by means of connector latches.
  • Available from four to sixteen circuit configurations.
  • Terminals are tested for 3 amp continuous service.
  • Available with 22 or 24 AWG stranded wire rated at 300V 105°C rating.
  • Thermoplastic materials U.L. rated at 94 V0.

Specifications:

  • Material:
    • Connector - Thermoplastic (black) U.L. 94 V0 4 to16 circuits, dual row, with locking and polarizing latches
    • Terminals - Phosphor bronze, bright tin plated 3 amp continuous service rating
    • Wire - 22 AWG, 7 strand copper, PVC insulated. 300V 105°C
