Walchem is pleased to announce the release of WebMaster® WIND Industrial Water Controller! WIND is the newest addition to the WebMaster® family of controllers. It has a flexible multi-input/output platform, a wide range of analytical sensor measurement capabilities, and an extensive assortment of integrated communications and data handling features to meet the needs of our customers in the following markets: • Food & Beverage • Bottle Washing • Drinking Water • Wastewater Treatment • Pulp & Paper • RO Systems • Metal Finishing • Storm Water WIND is unlike any other online industrial water controller. It fully integrates the functions of a transmitter, PLC, data logger, and auto-dialer into a rugged, industrial, NEMA 4X package. Several new hardware features differentiate WIND from WebMaster®ONE. WIND's keypad is accessible on the front of the controller, and the waterproof USB connectors and power switch are mounted on the bottom of the controller. This enables the operator to utilize all the capabilities of the controller, even when it's installed in a wet or corrosive environment, without opening the door and compromising the NEMA rating. The software in WIND has the same user-friendly look and feel as WebMaster®ONE. New software features have been added, such as 4-20mA proportional control, high speed and event triggered data logging, flexible alarm relays, one way interlocks, and the ability to select which parameters are included on the front LCD. The data logging enhancements enable the WIND to be used in many of our target markets, particularly food & beverage, where liability is a concern. The data points may be saved as frequently as every 15 seconds, and it's possible to datalog only if triggered by a digital input or alarm. In addition to the standard pH, ORP and conductivity sensor inputs, sensor support for our disinfection sensors has been added to WIND: Free Chlorine Chlorine Dioxide Peracetic Acid Ozone These high quality industrial sensors feature long-lasting amperometric electrodes, rugged membranes, integrated temperature compensation, excellent long-term stability, and are relatively insensitive to changes in sample flow rate.
