Straight • Angular • Swivel Wheelhead

Small lot production and job shop applications can easily be addressed with the new Weldon Pulsar G30 Series CNC grinders. The Pulsar is available in both 20" and 40" between centers capacities, both with a swing of 11.8".

The Pulsar can be equipped for conventional OD grinding (straight or angular wheelhead) or with a "B" axis swiveling wheelhead for multiple OD wheels. There is also an option for OD and ID grinding spindles to provide the ultimate in flexibility.

Proven Design Features for Grinding Accuracy

• Vee & Flat ways (X and Z axis) are hand scraped and automatically lubricated.

• Taper grinding via swivel table +/- 5 degrees (+/- 3 degrees for 1,000 mm between centers capacity) or by using X and Z axis linear interpolation.

• Angular wheelhead (AB version) features a feed slide that is square to the traverse table.

• Heavily ribbed cast iron machine base.

Reliable hydrodynamic wheel spindle bearings

• Rigid thrust and radial bearings.

• Rotational accuracy of .01 to .02 micro meters.

• Suitable for heavy rough cuts and precision finishing.

Automatic Swiveling Wheelhead - (FB Model)

• 60-degree swivel for dual OD wheel configuration, programmable in .0001 degree increments for automatic OD, shoulder/face, and taper grinding.

• Swivel Angle: +/- 30 degrees

• Least input increment: 0.001degrees

• Wheel spindle motor: 7.5 KW
