The Windamatic XL series of in-slot stator winders continue to be the in-slot stator winders by which all others are judged. These machines are built to last, with only the highest quality materials used including aerospace aluminum in key areas of the machine. Available in single and multiple needle configurations. These machines also feature Windamatic's available moveable needle technology, which results in higher possible slot fills and less scrap.

Traditionally in the in-slot winding industry high speeds and flexibility were not synonymous, Windamatic has recently shifted that paradigm with our available automatic oscillation adjustment. This breakthrough allows the machine to change it's oscillation to meet any pole configuration, automatically. With winding speeds up to 1500 coils per minute, the XL series are the fastest in-slots in the industry. The XL series is available in 4 sizes from our XL4 3.5" (89mm) of stroke, up to our XL10 10" (254mm) of stroke. Dual spindle machines are also available allowing for two stators to be wound simultaneously. Most XL series machines feature our infinitely adjustable oscillation. The oscillation is adjustable from 0-180 degrees allowing the machine to wind from 2 poles up to any number of poles, without the need to change a single component of the machine. All XL series machines come with Windamatic's infinitely adjustable dwell of the needle path, which minimizes wire stretch and contributes to higher slot fills, fewer wire breaks and higher winding speeds. All XL series machines can be integrated into hands off automated systems.
