New Re-Engineered MR4 Vacuum Lifter
Product Announcement from Wood's Powr-Grip Co., Inc.
Built for speed and efficiency on glass production lines, Wood's Powr-Grip's MR4 vacuum lifters have been redesigned to accommodate a larger and more powerful vacuum pump. This AC-powered vacuum pump provides 3 times the airflow of the previous pump, resulting in apply and release times as quick as one second (using 9" [23 cm] vacuum pads). Additionally, a new, adjustable-position lift spool has been integrated into these below-the-hook lifters, to optimize load handling on vertically oriented processing machinery. This feature enables the operator to match the vacuum lifters' hang angle to that of an edging or beveling machine, thereby reducing the effort required to position the glass and prevent possible misalignment and resulting glass damage. Finally, a new, locking vacuum control lever prevents loads from being accidentally released if the lever is bumped inadvertently.
These Manual Rotators are available in two models:
MR49AC ― equipped with four 9" [23 cm] vacuum pads ― lifting capacity of 500 lbs [225 kg] ― 1-second attach and release time for high-speed production
MR411LAC ― equipped with four 11" [28 cm] vacuum pads ― lifting capacity of 700 lbs [320 kg] ― Increased capacity for larger loads
These lightweight lifters average just 92 lbs [42 kg] and are designed with continuous 360° manual rotation with locking at each quarter point for quick load manipulation and placement. A hardened steel rotation wear plate ensures long-lasting performance. The MR4 comes standard with 120-volt AC power, and is also available with 100-volt AC, 240-volt AC or compressed air power systems.
Economically priced, these versatile vacuum lifters can boost production floor productivity while reducing the likelihood of worker fatigue and related injuries. A full complement of options are also available, which provide added convenience and safety.
