The MRTA Quadra-Tilt Vacuum Lifters from Wood's Powr-Grip® significantly reduce the effort of tilting loads between flat and upright positions. Coupled with 360° continuous edgewise rotation, the unique four-bar tilt mechanism provides a mechanical advantage that significantly reduces operator effort, without the weight or expense of a powered tilt actuator. With several models available, in capacities ranging from 300 lbs [135 kg] up to 1400 lbs [635 kg], it is easy to find a Quadra-Tilt Vacuum Lifter suited for specific applications.
When the load is tilted to either the upright or the flat position, the Quadra-Tilt Vacuum Lifter is able to maintain the load position automatically without the use of latches, eliminating the tendency for a load to "kick back" at the operator's knees.
Convenient for job site use or low-volume fabrication settings, Quadra-Tilt Vacuum Lifters are available with AC, DC, or air powered operation and movable / removable vacuum pads and extension arms that accommodate a variety of load sizes and shapes. Quadra-Tilt Vacuum Lifters can easily work off of a crane, jib boom or even a forklift, when equipped with DC power.
Low unit weight lets the operator concentrate on controlling the load, rather than the vacuum lifter. When a Quadra-Tilt Vacuum Lifter is used to lift materials from an A-frame rack, the load automatically moves to the full upright position for transport. The tilt-assist linkage then lets the operator swing the load to the flat position with minimal effort.
While Powr-Grip offers a variety of Quadra-Tilt models, a unique characteristic of the MRTA611LDC Vacuum Lifter is the Dual Vacuum System. This system features two vacuum line circuits, allowing the vacuum lifter to maintain the vacuum level for one circuit even if an unexpected vacuum loss occurs in the other one. This system is designed to reduce the risk of falling loads, which could result from breakage or other accidents that compromise one area of the vacuum system. In addition, the MRTA611LDC Vacuum Lifter features audible and visible alarms that warn the operator whenever the vacuum level is not sufficient for lifting the maximum load weight. The Dual Vacuum System complies with CE Standard EN 13155, a mandatory safety requirement for vacuum lifters used in Europe.
