The zwicki is a simple-to-use, transportable single-column load frame. Its low weight and the compact area allow the modular system to easily find a place on any laboratory table. Yet in spite of its small size and its low weight, it is an extremely powerful and efficient machine: The extruded aluminium profile, which has especially been developed for the zwicki, guarantees a high rigidity at a low weight.

In 1997 the zwicki was awarded the IF Product Design Award for excellent industry design and ergonomic design.

The zwicki is geared for applications in the range of mechanical tests with low loads. It has a wide applicational spectrum from plastics and elastomer testing over paper, textile, foam material, and wire testing to part and component testing.
