Capacitec "Electronic Feeler Gage" for Shimming Operation

Gapman from Capacitec is the world's first high precision, non-contact, portable electronic gap measurement gage. It features a dual capacitive sensor for position-compensated measurement and easy insertion into very thin gaps down to 0.005" (127 microns) in a wide range of aerospace applications. Key features include:
➢ Measures gaps between all metal and composite surfaces
➢ Microcontroller based to mate data with any customer application software
➢ Records and stores up to 1,000 data points for easy transfer to SPC and other quality systems via RS232
➢ Typical accuracy is +/- 0.0005 (12.7 microns) or better with resolution of 0.0001 (2.54 microns) on a gap range to 0.100" (2.54 mm)
➢ Battery operated and lightweight (approx. 1 lb/454 grams)
