The T8410 through T8760 Series NTC thermistor temperature probes consist of a stainless steel tube welded to a tapered-thread pipe fitting with a thermistor potted at the tip of the closed end of the stainless steel tube. The rugged construction of these probe assemblies makes them ideal for sensing temperature of fluids in pressurized pipes and vessels. In addition, the stainless steel material provides protection from corrosive fluids.

To optimize the measurement accuracy for a given application, appropriate testing of the following thermal properties should be completed: temperature differential between the pipe/vessel wall and the fluid or gas, flow rate, and immersion depth of the probe.
