Because of its unique metalization technology [patent/patents pending] and superior thermistor processing technology, the Cornerstone Sensors, Inc. T150 Series NTC thermistor is a lower cost alternative to interchangeable, glass encapsulated thermistors when the NTC thermistor must be exposed continuously to temperatures up to 150 °C. Typical applications include solar heating, hot water heaters, boiler controls, and flex heater controls.
Typically, commercially available interchangeable, precision epoxy and phenolic coated NTC thermistors may be exposed only short term to temperatures above 105 °C and not above 150 °C. Glass encapsulated precision NTC thermistors are available but costly. Cornerstone Sensors, Inc. T150 series NTC thermistor shows less than 0.35 % [0.08 °C] drift after 6,000 hours of continuous exposure to 150 °C.
