The Model 776 Slim Line Thru-Bore Encoder combines rugged construction with a variety of features rarely found in a unit of this size. It was designed to be as thin as possible to fit in tight places (and it's only 1.36" deep), yet still accommodate shaft sizes up to 1-7/8". Its through bore configuration allows it to be mounted directly onto a motor or other shaft, and, like all encoders, it will measure such parameters as position, direction, speed, velocity, rate, and the like. Mounting the Model 776, with its simple mounting clamp and optional anti-rotation flex mount, is quick and easy. In addition, a Phenolic insert is available if your application requires extra electrical or thermal isolation, increased resistance to ESD, or better adherence to critical tolerances.
The rugged, all metal, shock resistant code disk – available with resolutions up to 4096 CPR - assures long disk life, enhancing the durability of an already reliable encoder. The available standard output types will satisfy any application requirements, and include high voltage line driver (5-28 VDC), open collector, pull-up resistor, and push-pull output circuits. To make the unit even more application friendly, over voltage protection is also standard, as is an operating temperature to 100 degrees centigrade.
The Model 776 is an excellent choice for applications in textiles, printing, material handling, motor feedback, etc.
