WORLD'S SMALLEST TRIAXIAL ISOTRON(r) ACCELEROMETER

WORLD'S SMALLEST TRIAXIAL ISOTRON(r) ACCELEROMETER

Endevco Corporation, the world's leading designer and manufacturer of dynamic instrumentation, has introduced the Model 35A ISOTRON(r) accelerometer. The Model 35A is an extremely small, adhesive mounted piezoelectric accelerometer with integral electronics designed specifically for measuring vibration in three orthogonal axes on very small objects.

The Model 35A accelerometer is ideal for measuring vibration on scaled models, small electronic components, and other small structures that demand miniature, lightweight accelerometers. The Model 35A weighs only 1.1 gm (0.04 oz.), minimizing mass-loading effects. With a range of ±1000 g's and a typical voltage output sensitivity of 5 mV/g, the Model 35A is able to offer superior performance in any application. In addition, a temperature range of -67°F to 257°F (-55°C to 125°C) allows the accelerometer to perform in even the most extreme environments. The Model 35A features a frequency response of 2Hz to 12kHz for precise measurement.

This accelerometer features Endevco's PIEZITEÒ type P-8 sensing element operating in a shear mode. The internal amplifiers of the accelerometer convert the high-impedance charge input into a low-impedance voltage output. The low-impedance output is then transmitted through the same wiring that supplies the required +3.5 to +4.5 mA constant-current power. The Model 35A is ground-isolated from the mounting surface of the unit by a hard anodized surface. A tool is included for proper removal in the field.

Endevco's Signal Conditioner Models 133, 4416B, 2792B, 2793 and 2775A are recommended for use with this accelerometer. All sales of Endevco products are factory direct.

ENDEVCO is the world's leading designer and manufacturer of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock, and pressure measurements. This company's comprehensive line of piezoelectric, variable capacitance, piezoresistive, ISOTRON(r), and servo force balance accelerometers are used to solve measurement problems in a wide variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, medical, industrial, and marine. Other products include pressure transducers, microphones, electronic instruments, and calibration systems. ENDEVCO is a subsidiary of U.K.-based Meggitt PLC, an international group of companies renowned for its specialized engineering skills.
