The Double Tcom press^® produces connections made up of a pin with two flexible press-fit zones. During the press-fit process a top-quality gas-tight, corrosion-resistant, low-ohmic mechanical connection is produced between the pin and the through-plating on the printed-circuit board. This connection remains firm and ensures reliable contact even when exposed to very severe mechanical and thermal loads, for instance vibration, flexing or frequent changes of temperature.

By utilizing an insulator body, several of these pins can be used as a Double Tcom press^® application, enabling printed-circuit boards to be reliably connected together both mechanically and electrically. With the 3-pole Double Tcom press^® for instance, printed-circuit boards 6.5 mm apart can be connected together reliably and economically at a grid spacing of 2.54 mm.
