Honeywell introduces the newest additions to its magnetic sensor product line: the HMC1041Z, HMC1042L, and HMC1043 magnetic sensors designed for low field magnetic sensing. The HMC104X family of compact magnetoresistive sensors permits cost effective and space-efficient personal navigation system designs for small, portable products like hand-held devices.
Honeywell's HMC104X Magnetic Sensor Line-Up
The HMC1041Z in a 1.05mm height SMT SIP package solves the need for a low profile vertical sensor that is precisely orthogonal and compatible with high speed SMT assembly processes. The 1.08 by 4.10 by 1.05mm narrow size, tape, and reel availability of the HMC1041Z is perfect for compact magnetic sensor applications like vehicle detection, current sensing, magnetometry, and compassing.
The HMC1042L is a precision 2-axis magnetoresistive sensor in a 3.0 by 3.0 by 0.8mm 16-pin LCC package. Pin compatible with the HMC1052L, the HMC1042L offers improved cross-field rejection required for moderate to precision compassing and navigation applications.
The HMC1043 is a marvel of very small packaging that incorporates three magnetoresistive sensors in a 3 by 3 by 1.2 mm 16-pin LCC package. This cost effective, precision sensor combination is perfect for consumer electronics to aerospace applications in which tilt-compensated compassing is required.
