The NRF series Electronic Personal Dosimeter (EPD) offer excellent detection and monitoring of Gamma only, Gamma and Beta, or Neutron nuclear radiation. Alarms are provided to alert the wearer when pre-set threshold levels for Total Dose and/or Dose Rate are exceeded.
A Setting Device (NRZ-ACT/PC) is available to provide PC set up communication with the EPD via a non-contact, infrared protocol. This infrared IR Setting Sevice is used to program Dose and Dose Rate Alarm Set Points, access stored exposure data, etc. The end user cannot reset the EPD manually thus preventing accidental over dose exposure.
