The Mini HMI for Omron's CP1 PLCs assists in troubleshooting. Just 43 x 36mm, the CP1W-DAM01 offers a 4 line x 12 character text display with five function buttons. Mounting directly onto the front of a CP1L or CP1H PLC, this compact option module can display user-defined messages, monitor and edit I/O data and has a dual-color backlight (green/red) to alert the user to PLC errors.

Occupying Port1 of the CP1L or CP1H's communication expansion sockets, up to 16 user messages are simply defined within the unit (no need for PLC programming) and may include an editable data field. The CP1W-DAM01 may also be used to transfer data to and from the optional memory cassette for PLC program back up and restoration.

The Mini HMI has two operating modes: Monitor Mode and Setup Mode

• In Monitor Mode, the user can monitor data in I/O memory and view the changes of the data (The data depends on the screen settings selected, but the values are not editable in Monitor Mode.)
• In Setup Mode, the user can display and change data in I/O memory

Three kinds of screens determine what data will be displayed: I/O Memory Screen, User Monitor Screen and Message Screen.

• Monitoring according to the type of I/O memory
• Monitoring different types of I/O memory according to the user's preferences
• Display of user defined messages according to the state of I/O addresses

It is possible to define up to 16 User Message Screens, each of which may contain one PLC data value for display/editing.
