The Smart Crosswalk™system is designed to reduce needless crosswalk accident, injury and death caused by driver inattention or limited visibility conditions. The Standard PCU accepts call signal inputs from either manual pedestrian push button device or automatic pedestrian activation detector. Once activated the Enlighten1™ flashing light visually alerts motorists to the presence of pedestrians entering the crosswalk. (read more)

Automatic activation consists of a pair of verticle bollards that are lit 24/7 and become the "gateways" to the IRWL crosswalk. Each bollard contains built-in sensor module utilizing infrared light beams technology to sense the direction of pedestrian. The IRWL system is activated when entered into but not reactivated when exited. (read more)

The snowplow blade resistant mounting base plate is embedded into the roadway to secure and protect In-Roadway Warning Lights (IRWL) signal heads. Manufactured from case hardened steel featuring a Debris Free™ "Self-Clearing" fluted face plate and coated with marine grade primer. (read more)

The in-pavement signal light mounting base plate is used to secure and protect in-roadway warning light (IRWL) signal head module. The dimensions of the base plate are 10" diameter and 1½" depth. (read more)

LightGuard Systems newest technology is our 9X LightStar™ signal module. Each signal head module contains an acrylic prism placed in front of the LED lamps. This lens prism surface is sealed in place and buffed to a smooth finish clear finish. Each signal head light module contains 16 LED lamps, available in amber, red, and white with bi-colored options.
