Q. How do I know whether or not I am receiving proper yield? We only get rolls marked with weight per roll and no footage.

A. Anytime this happens, it is circumspect. You are probably getting a low invoice price and over gauge film sold replete with tare weight. If your supplier is honest, the footage will also be on every roll tag. (read more)

Trust your shrink film supplier with weights and measures ? Many extruders of shrink film in the US sell shrink film by "gross weight" defined as a full 10% over gauged plus the tare weight of cores, stretch wrap and pallet.
