On-site tests were conducted at a major pipeline company to determine effectiveness of the InfraSpec VFA-IR Spectrometer, Model EB, for detecting biodiesel contamination in diesel fuels. Testing concluded Model EB was well suited to detect biodiesel levels as low as 100ppm and provides an easy, quick check for fuel contamination at a price significantly lower than other instruments. PA Dept. of Agriculture selected the InfraCal Biodiesel Blend Analyzer for compliance monitoring of its statewide biodiesel program. The analyzer can be used in the field and has the required accuracy of 0.2 percent for testing the fuel at the 1200 retail motor fuel locations for 2% biodiesel which has been mandated. Read more...
