Super Material Takes Heat

New Stud on The Block

Petrol Promise or Pipe Dream?
Greenhouse gasses may cause warmer weather. But researchers at Sandia National Labs may have a way to turn CO2 into a friendly fuel source for future generations. Using a contraption they call the Counter Rotating Ring Receiver Reactor Recuperator (CR5) and sunlight, they claim it is possible to convert CO2 into fuel. Carbon monoxide and oxygen are created in two steps. Then, water and carbon monoxide will make methanol, gas, or other liquid fuels using solar energy.
