   Your choices are...
Nozzle Blast Machine       Abrasive blasting machine or sandblaster where the abrasive is driven by a stream of water or air.  A nozzle is used to direct or guide the abrasive blast stream.  Other liquids or gases may be used for special applications.
Precision Blast / Micro-jet       Abrasive blaster or abrasive jet machining unit having an extremely fine and precise stream.
Wheel Blast Machine       Abrasive blasting machine or sandblaster where the abrasive is propelled by a rotating wheel, the blast wheel. The blast wheel projects a wide stream of abrasive or blasting media against a workpiece. Wheel blasters may drive a dry or wet stream of abrasive particles.

   Carrier Fluid & Abrasive Feed:
   Your choices are...
Dry / Air       The machine uses a stream or jet of air to carry, accelerate, or direct the abrasive particles against the workpiece.
Wet / Water        The machine uses a stream or jet of water to cut, to carry, or accelerate the abrasive particles against the workpiece.
Gravity Feed       The abrasive particles are fed into the nozzle or wheel by gravity for projection onto the workpiece.
Suction / Venturi Feed       The abrasive particles are sucked into the gun, nozzle, or lance through a Venturi generation process. Venturi generators use a fast moving stream to create a vacuum that pulls materials into the steam.
Pressure Feed       Pressure pot or vessel contains a mixture of abrasive and carrier fluid (air, water or other). The pressurized air, liquid, or gas in the vessel pushes the abrasive particles into the gun.
Other       Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary carrier or abrasive feed type.

Machine Options / Component Types
   Machine Options / Component Types:
   Your choices are...
Abrasive Injector       Abrasive injectors are used to move abrasives from a storage vessel to a nozzle, gun, head, or wheel. The injection or metering system controls the amount of abrasive pushed into the air or water stream. In large systems, the delivery system and injection system may be separate components.
Blast Cabinet / Chamber       Blast cabinets are glove box-like vessels that hold the workpiece and the blasting process.  Blast cabinets usually consist of a chamber with glove ports, viewing window, and internal lighting.  The workpieces rest on an open grid that allows used abrasive to drop through for recycling.
Blast Room / Booth       Blast rooms or enclosed blasting booths contain the blasting process when blasting larger workpieces. Blast cabinets usually consist of a room with internal lighting that holds both the workpiece and the operator. The operator may hold the blasting nozzle on the end of a lance. The workpieces rest on open grid flooring that allows used abrasive to drop through for recycling.
Blast Wheel       Blast wheels propel and direct a wide stream of abrasives and a carrier (water or air) at the appropriate part of the workpiece.
Dust Collection / Filtration System       Dust collection or filtration systems remove fine particle sizes of abrasives, media, and blasting waste (removed scale or stock in the form of dust or fine swarf) that would otherwise become suspended in the air.
Gun / Lance       Guns or lances direct a stream of abrasives and carrier fluid or water through a nozzle at the appropriate part of the workpiece.
Hopper / Tank       Hoppers or tanks are used for storing dry abrasive grains, blasting media, or abrasive-water slurry mixtures.
Media Separator / Reclaimer       Media separators and reclaimers are used in blast machines to remove undersized abrasives or media and blasting coarse waste (removed scale or stock in the form of swarf).
Pressure Generator        Pressure generators increase the pressure of the carrier fluid (water or air).  Plunger-type intensifier pumps are commonly used to generate high-pressure water for water jet cutting, wet, or water abrasive blasting, and non-abrasive pressure washing or rinsing. Crankshaft-driven plunger pumps are also used for pressure generation. These plunger pumps may be more efficient than intensifiers in terms of electrical energy costs, but at high pressures (>20,000 psi) the seals must be replaced periodically.  Crankshaft-driven plunger pumps also provide a virtually ripple-free pressure source when compared to intensifiers. An accumulator may be required to smooth out pressure fluctuations if an intensifier pump is used. In air-based blast or jet systems, air compressors are typically used to generate pressure.
Other       Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary component.

Ceramic / Carbide       Ceramics and refractories have high melting points and hardness. Ceramics are suitable for applications requiring wear resistance, high temperature strength, electrical, or thermal insulation or other specialized characteristics.
Concrete / Masonry       Masonry can be a mixture of stone, brick, or concrete blocks laid or bonded with mortar, fasteners or other adhesives.  Concrete and mortars are mixtures of a binder and aggregate (natural stone or process minerals).  Mortar usually contains finer aggregates than a concrete mixture.  Stone or rock is any concentrated earthy or mineral matter.  Granite is a hard natural igneous rock consisting chiefly of quartz, orthoclase or microcline, and mica.  Marble is a metamorphic rock formed by the alteration of limestone.  Building materials consist of concrete, stone and masonry as well as glass, metal and wood.
Glass       Glass is a large class of materials with variable mechanical and optical properties that is formed by cooling from a molten state without crystallization.  Glass is a hard, brittle material consisting of a mixture of silicates that is usually transparent or translucent.  It is considered to be a cooled liquid rather than a true solid.
