Gage or Gaging System Type

   Your choices are...
Air Plug       Pin / plug gages are production functional gages for go / no-go assessment of hole and slot dimensions or locations compared to specified tolerances.
Air Ring        Ring gages are production functional gages for go / no-go assessment compared to specified tolerances of the dimensions or attributes of pins, shafts, or threaded studs.
Air Snap       Snap gages are functional or attribute gages used in production settings where specific diametrical or thickness measurements or go / no-go assessment are repeated frequently.  They provide a fairly high degree of precision compared to other gages.
Air Gaging System / Station       Gaging systems or stations are larger, more complex units for large-scale gaging. They are usually available in bench top or floor mounted configurations. These devices may consist of several gages, fixtures, or other components for holding or manipulating parts during inspection.  Typically, systems or stations have specialized gaging or inspection systems customized for particular OEM application.  Air gaging stations, gear testing systems, form gaging systems, tire profiling systems, and universal gaging systems are example of these types of products.
Air Probe / Head       Gage heads or probes are electronic, pneumatic, optical, or mechanical gaging units that connect to a remote display, readout, or analog amplifier.  In some applications, probes are used in conjunction with other gages, such as a plug gage with an integral electronic probe.
Amplifier / Comparator       Test indicators, indicators, and comparators are instruments for comparative measurements where the linear movement of a precision spindle is amplified and displayed on a dial or digital display. Test indicators have sufficient accuracy for shop or production gaging and are often machine mounted.  Indicators have a higher degree of precision compared to test indicators and are used for inspection gaging and in monitoring precision grinding operations.  Comparators provide the highest level of precision and accuracy of the instruments in this group and can be used to check other gages.
Custom / OEM Gage       Custom gages cover individual gages as well as gaging systems or stations for particular OEM applications.  Micrometer heads, air gaging rings or snaps, custom ring gages, go / no-go gages or functional gages, gaging stations, gaging systems, and tire or impeller-profiling systems are often customized or configured for particular applications.
Other       Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary type of gage.

Measurement Scale
   Units:
   Your choices are...
English       Gages and gaging systems are based on the English system of measurement (e.g., inches).
Metric       Gages and gaging systems are based on the metric system of measurement (e.g., centimeters, millimeters).
Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Display:
   Your choices are...
Dial / Analog / Direct Reading Scale       Devices include dial displays, column/bargraphs, and direct reading scales. Dial displays use a pointer or needle mounted in a graduated, disc dial. The dial provides an indication of dimension or position around or from a zero reference point with dial graduations or styles, such as 10-0-10, 45-0-45, 4-0-4 or 50-0-50. Column and bargraph displays provide a graphical presentation of dimensional data. Direct reading graduated scales have rulings or graduations engraved or printed onto a linear, disc, or drum surface that provides a direct indication of the gaged dimension. Vernier scales provide additional amplification or an increased level of precision (e.g., thousandths).
Digital Display       Digital display types present metrology data in numeric or alphanumeric form. Micrometers, calipers, and indicators are available with digital displays. Gages with digital displays often have data output capabilities using serial or other formats.  Digital readouts are a precision type of digital display integrated into dimensional gages or systems.

Specifications
Part / Gage Size:       The diameter of threaded fastener or part feature being measured.
Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.

Mounting / Features
   Mounting / Loading:
   Your choices are...
Automatic / Inline       The part is automatically presented to the gage and measured without operator intervention. Inline devices are automatic gages used in a production line. In semi-automatic systems, a part is presented manually to the gage or gaging system and then measured automatically.
Benchtop / Floor       Devices are benchtop, table-based or floor mounted gages or instrument where a part is both manually loaded and measured.
Handheld / Portable       Devices can be operated while being held in the hand and/or are portable.
Machine Mounted       Gages are mounted on or within a machine tool or equipment for tool setup or travel measurement. Test indicators, dial indicators and micrometer heads are examples of gages that are often machine mounted.
Other       Other unlisted, specialized or proprietary mounting or loading types.
Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Certificate of Calibration       Gages have a certificate of calibration, a document that indicates a gage meets or has been calibrated to specific dimensional tolerance or gaging precision standards requirements. ANSI, ISO, DIN, and NIST standards are used to control gage calibration.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
NIST Traceability       Gage can be traced to the National Institute of Technology Standards (NIST). These gages are compared to a master standard that is checked against a NIST standard.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
Multi-jet Probe?       Probes, ring, plugs, or other air tooling use multiple air jets or orifices.  Multiple jets allow gaging of roundness, straightness, and taper, or enable averaging of size or diameter measurements.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
SPC Capability       Gages or gaging systems provide statistical variation or process control parameters based on the dimensional data obtained. Many of the systems have a PC interface and use specialized SPC software.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
