   Diameter       The size of the pulley, sheave or drum determines the maximum diameter of the rope or cable that can be fed through the transit or fitting. With control cables, diameter usually refers to the overall, conduit or outer casing dimension. With bare wire rope, the largest outer diameter (OD) is listed because the rope’s diameter is not uniform in size.

Plastic cores may consist of a solid, plastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) rod or a multi-filament rope of polypropylene (PP), nylon or other synthetic fibers. Cotton or sisal fiber ropes are also used as cores in smaller wire ropes. 
   SWC       The wire rope or cable has a stranded metal wire core (SWC or SC). SWC wire ropes are typically stronger than fiber core or plastic core cables 
   Solid Core       The cable has a solid wire, rod or plastic core.

   Steel - Galvanized       Wire rope is made from zinc-galvanized steel wire. 
   Stainless Steel       Stainless steel is chemical and corrosion resistant and can have relatively high pressure ratings. 
   Titanium       Titanium is lightweight and provides high strength and superior corrosion resistance. 
   Specialty / Other       Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary materials.
