   Displacement       Displacement guides correct web misalignment (error) by pivoting a set of guide rollers about a fixed point to geometrically displace (align) the web. A displacement guide provides correction with minimal entry and exit span requirements. Displacement guides are ideal for applications with space limitations. 
   Steering       A steering guide is also called an intermediate guide because it is positioned between the beginning and the end of the web handling/converting process. 
   Winding       Winding guides are used to accurately align the web coming from an unwind, and accurately wind webs on a rewind to assure smooth, straight-sided rolls by shifting a rewind operation.

Performance
   Roller Width       The width of the roller over which the web passes.  The roller must be wider than the web and is typically greater than two inches wider on each side. 
   Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Roller Diameter       Larger diameter rollers can provide more wrap surface; meaning, more contact time for the web as it traverses the guiding system. While increased contact time can improve response time and position control, a larger roller may also add inertia to the system.

   Web Material

   Paper       Paper webs are made of cellulose and/or other natural and synthetic fibers. Paper is usually fairly flexible (except at very high basis weights) and will not stretch appreciably during processing. 
   Film       Films are polymer-based materials that are usually very flexible but are generally extensible; meaning, they can stretch during web processing.

   Textiles       Textiles include woven fabrics, knitted structures and nonwoven materials. The materials are typically porous, flexible, and moderately extensible. 
   Rubber       Rubber webs are non-porous, heavy, and often highly extensible.
