Window Shape
   Window Shape:
   Your choices are...
Circular       Circular sight windows are the most common varieties, and are round or cylindrical in shape.
Oblong       Oblong sight windows may also be referred to as rectangular. This shape offers better viewing angles than the traditional circular style.
Other       Other unlisted or proprietary window shape.

Connection Type
   Connection Type:
   Your choices are...
Bolt On       The window bolts directly onto a tank or pipe.
Welded       The window is welded onto a tank or pipe.
Flanged       The window has flange for bolting onto a tank or pipe.
Threaded - NPT       The window has a threaded NPT connection for attaching to a tank or pipe.
Threaded - Straight       The window has a threaded straight connection for attaching to a tank or pipe.
Other       Other unlisted or proprietary connection type.

Performance Specifications
Pressure Rating:       The highest rated pressure that the sight window can withstand and still perform its function.
Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the limits in a "From - To" range; when both are specified, matching products will cover entire range. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Temperature Rating:       The highest temperature that the sight window can withstand and still perform its function.

Material
   Optical / Window
   Your choices are...
Crystal       The window optic consists of a single crystal material such as calcium fluoride (CaF2), barium fluoride (BaF2), and sapphire. Sapphire does not have the proper transmission range for many applications. The fluoride crystals are often break through impact and degrade (transmission loss) through mechanical stress and environment attack (water, acids, alkali solutions). The fluoride crystal windows are still used in many research laboratory applications where conditions are controlled.
Glass       The sight window is manufactured from glass, which can easily break or be cut to size. Several different types of glass are available such as tempered glass and borosilicate glass. Tempered glass can be five times stronger than annealed glass. It can also "flex" or bend significantly more without breaking and it resists impact, shock, thermal and mechanical stress. If it breaks, it fragments into small harmless rounded pellets. Tempered glass is created by heating annealed glass to near its melting point, rapidly cooling its surface, and allowing the inner core to cool naturally. The glass must be cut to size before the tempering process. Properties of borosilicate include very good chemical durability and a low thermal expansion coefficient. It is often used in cookware and lab ware. A well known brand of borosilicate glass is Pyrex®.
Plastic       The window optics are made form a clear plastic or polymer such as polycarbonate and polyacrylate polymers. Plastic is a transparent solid with good optical properties, available in the form of sheets, granules, solutions, and emulsions. IR transmissive polymers are available. Some IR transmissive plastic are also impact resistant.
Other       Other unlisted or proprietary window material.
Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Impact Resistant?       The window can resist damage from debris or object impacting on the surface. The impact resistance can be provided by an impact resistant optical material or a metal grill protecting the underlying glass or crystal. While metal grill protect the optics, the grills can produce a ghosting effect.
Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
   Body / Housing
   Your choices are...
Aluminum       Aluminum and aluminum alloys are lightweight, non-ferrous metals with good corrosion resistance, ductility, and strength.
Copper Alloy (Brass / Bronze)       Copper, brass, and bronze alloys are non-ferrous metals with excellent electrical and thermal conductivity as well as good corrosion resistance, ductility, and strength. They are commonly found in plumbing and marine applications.
Insulative Plastic       The body or housing of the window is made of an electrically-insulating plastic.
Steel       The body or housing of the window is made of carbon steel, and is used when resistance to abrasion and impact is required.
Stainless       Stainless steel is chemical and corrosion resistant and can have relatively high-pressure ratings.
Other       Other unlisted, proprietary or unique feature.
Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
