News from M+P Labs

M+P Labs today announced it has received ISO 17025 accreditation for both its Schenectady, NY and Greenville, SC facilities from ILAC –accredited L-A-B (www.l-a-b.com). Laboratory Accreditation Bureau, a Michigan corporation, completed the accreditation process over a period of weeks and without a single finding at either facility. Shirley Strickland, Quality Assurance Manager for M+P Labs, explained the decision to obtain this approval from L-A-B. “We held our ISO 17025 accreditation previously through our Nadcap approval with PRI. When PRI announced its intention last summer to drop NADCAP, we began searching for a new ISO 17025 registrar. L-A-B met one of our key criteria because it is accredited by the international accreditation body, ILAC." M+P Labs’ Nadcap accreditation through PRI for its Greenville, SC laboratory is effective through the end of January 2012. The lap also is approved by the nuclear industry to its 10 CFR Appendix B standard, and to proprietary standards, such as GE Transportation and Aviation Special Process Certification to perform many S-400 test codes. Quality Assurance is a major investment area for M+P Labs, which prides itself on applying the same rigorous approach to each and every job performed, regardless of whether it requires conformance to any of these accreditations.
