A new rotary transducer for assembly use has been announced by ASG, a division of Jergens, Inc. The new transducer is intended for use with ASG's Smart Torq™ II Controller to provide operator-viewable torque readouts for the controller, as well as for data output. It is mounted on an ASG current-controlled driver between the driver and the bit. (read more)

The new TS III™ Qualifier assembly process monitor assures correct assembly and is affordable for any sized assembly operation. It can eliminate many common fastener-related assembly errors. Torq2™ HCP Series pistol grip, cushion clutch pneumatic screwdrivers are available with adjustable torque ranges from 4.5 lbf•in to 80 lbf•in. They provide a high speed rundown, with a clutch that ratchets at the preset torque. A new power source for electric torque-controlled screwdrivers has been announced by ASG, a division of Jergens, Inc. The new PS-110 Power Source is intended for use with most of ASG's low voltage DC torque-controlled drivers. Two drivers can be accommodated simultaneously, making the unit ideal for workstations with varied torque requirements. (read more)

The PS-55 Power Source is intended for use with most of ASG's low voltage DC drivers. It has a number of high performance features not found on other power sources, including a switchable two-speed output that is rated for and delivers a full 30 VDC on its "higher" setting. This extra voltage is necessary to achieve optimal performance on certain drivers. (read more)
