Steam is one of the most common carriers of energy, used to drive turbines & provide heat for industrial processes and communities. It drives locomotives and catapults planes from aircraft carriers. In these steam systems, with pressures > 2000 psi & temperatures > 1000°F safety relief valves ensure that steam is vented before pressure peaks can damage equipment. (read more)
BOA Group Solar Tech products are essential for many solar power plants. The flexible elements compensate for thermal expansion (axial, lateral and angular movements), vibration & assembly misalignment. The parts allow for easy installation/dis-assembly, while requiring only minimum space, assuring long life and easy maintenance for solar power plants (read more)
In a paper mill high frequency low amplitude vibration had resulted in average welded hose assembly life of 3 weeks. The Crimp-Tite® assembly is still in operation months after installation. It extends hose life, as no heat is applied to the metal and resists corrosion more than welded assemblies, solving issues that traditional welded metal hose cannot handle. (read more)
Problem: Oil Filtration Systems, Inc. (OFS) experienced premature failure on the welded connection for the discharge of oil from the tower to the pump on their filtration equipment. American BOA's patented Crimp-Tite® metal hose and fitting system addressed this issue and has been found to be superior for dampening vibration. (read more)
