TOC Success with Salt Samples
The wastewater from the DursbanĀ® Plant of the Dow Chemical Company Ltd. (UK), has a high salt content which typically ranges from 1% to 5%. A TOC analyzer was required that would work continuously while analysing water with a high salt concentration. After a short trial period, a BioTector 970 was permanently installed and has been in operation since April 1997.

Successful Measurement of TOC in Surface Water
The successful measurement of TOC in surface water at airports presents several challenges:
- The water levels can vary dramatically, from high in wet weather to low in the summer months.
- The TOC analyzer must be able to cope with the wide variety of chemicals used for de-icing, and also the particles found in surface water...
