This design guide is written with both the first time user and the experienced engineer in mind, as they are frequently the same person when it comes to pivot bearings. Due to their unique nature, pivot bearings have many distinct performance features that must be accounted for when compar...
The C-Flex patent pending progressive clamp bushing, utilizes force multiplying technology to generate large clamping forces with multi-surface contact.
Patented design permits large axial, radial and angular misalignments while transmitting high torque loads with zero backlash.
C-Flex couplings combine the best qualities of disc, beam and bellows couplings in a unique and economical new design.
C-Flex is now in it's 23rd year of business and going strong. We are developing new products and customizing standard products for our customers. Among the many offerings are spring rates and diameters of extended length. These items, either cantilever or double end have an L designation in their part number (e.g. D-20L10). L
The C-Flex bearing or pivot is a cylindrical, limited rotational bearing, with a high relative radial and axial stiffness which is available in low, medium, or high torsional spring rates.
Flat’s are generally used when bearing angle position is critical or high torques are being applied and there is a risk the bearing may slip in its mounting hole. There is not enough material on the thin side to cut flats, they can only be on the thick side. * Customer has the option of only one flat or two on a pivot.
