Fort Wayne Metals Helical Hollow Strand® (HHS) furthers our excellence in stranding and cabling of medical grade wire. HHS is a Fort Wayne Metals stranded wire with an open center working channel. HHS has excellent whip free characteristics, and can be made highly kink resistant. Designs can be tailored to customer requirements of tension, compression, torque and pitch direction. (read more)

The bulk of round wire produced at Fort Wayne Metals is drawn to diameters from 0.394" to 0.0005". However, maximum and minimum sizes may vary depending on alloy type and desired mechanical properties. (read more)

DBS® (or Drawn Brazed Strand) consists of alloy wires stranded around a core wire of a softer, highly conductive material such as silver. The wire is then brazed and drawn in the normal wire drawing process. The resulting wire combines increased fatigue life, high conductivity, and great solderability with good strength properties.
