Dual LAN redundancy involves two separate physical networks that connect a PC host to the terminal server. On the CN2600 terminal server, two networks can be connected through two built-in LAN ports. On the PC host, two LAN cards are required. With dual LAN redundancy, the PC host will have continuous access to serial devices attached to the CN2600, even if one of the networks fails. (read more)

The NPort 6450 is a 4-port device server that uses the SSL and SSH protocols to transmit encrypted serial data over Ethernet. Up to 4 serial devices of any type can be connected to the NPort 6450, with all four devices using the same IP address. The Ethernet port can be configured for a normal or secure TCP/IP connection. The W300 series of RISC-based wireless embedded computers provide two types of communication solution.
