The VM-250AG consists of two, self-contained, weather resistant pillars placed on either side of the roadway to be protected. Each pillar contains two plastic scintillator detectors, an occupancy detector and an amplifier/controller. The VM-250AGN adds neutron detection capability. Both models are equipped with RS-232 and Ethernet communications capability. (read more)

The PM-702B is a low cost, highly reliable personnel portal Category II SNM monitor. It will detect 10g of ²³⁹Pu (HEU) on a walk-through basis. TSA's train monitor TM-850 consists of two self-contained, weather resistant pillars placed on either side of the railroad track to be monitored.

The TM-850 train monitor is designed to automatically scan railroad traffic without the need for frequent calibration and where relatively low energy emissions from ²³⁵U and ²³⁹Pu are the main concern. (read more)

BM-285E bag and BM-286E barrel monitors measure gamma contamination of containerized material. The BM-285E holds items up to 500 lb., the BM-286E holds 55 gallon drums up to 1,000 lb.

High sensitivity is achieved using large surface area plastic scintillator detectors on six sides of the counting chamber, microprocessor controlled electronics and sophisticated software algorithms. (read more)

The BM-185D is designed to scan small items (less than 1 ft3), for radioactive contamination. It provides 4pi geometry and efficiency of greater than 45% for 60Co.

TSA's PRM-470C hand held series is a popular choice for locating radioactive sources and measuring intensity in the field. Applications include SNM searches at plant exits, material access areas and background monitoring. The model WM-288 is a conveyor waste monitor designed to scan a variety of solid waste material for alpha, beta, and gamma contamination. The items to be scanned are placed on the conveyor belt which transports them through the detector chamber at a controlled speed. (read more)

The vehicle roadway monitor, TSA's model GPRS-100, integrates a Trimble 12 channel global positioning system (GPS) with TSA's model VRM-3 vehicle mounted radiation monitor and a single board PC. TSA recommends that the system be mounted on a 3/4 ton minimum capacity, 4 wheel drive vehicle. (read more)
