Model DAQ6103 operates from 0.1-6.0 GHz, and comes standard in the 0.250-in.sq. hermetic surface mount package. This detector produces an analog output voltage as a function of input RF power. Average power detection is below –13 dBm and peak power detection is above –10 dBm (power at the diode). Power Flatness is ±0.5 dB typical and temperature stability is ±0.25 dB typical. (read more)

June 21, 2007 - Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced today that its subsidiary, Teledyne Cougar, Inc., has completed the acquisition of Tindall Technologies, Inc., a designer and supplier of microwave subsystems for defense applications. The X Band Coupler with Dual Output Threshold Detector has an input power range of either –5 to +10 dBm, or +5 to +20 dBm. Covering 8.0 to 9.5 GHz, insertion loss is less than 1.0 dB and VSWR is 1.5:1. The coupler/detector has two external resistors providing independently settable threshold TTL outputs. (read more)

Cougar Components is introducing many low noise amps with the spring publication of the 2005/2006 Designer's Selection Guide. AC1291 and AS3093 are just two examples, offering low noise figure of 1.3 dB and <1.7 dB, respectively. (read more)

Each Cougar amplifier is designed for unconditional stability and excellent cascadability. Gain flatness is maintained to typically ±0.2 dB or better, which improves cascaded flatness.
