Bachelor of Professional Studies in Technology Management

With the pace of innovation accelerating, qualified technology managers are in exceptionally high demand. Excelsior College created its highly flexible, military-friendly Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) to help you capitalize on that demand and earn the bachelor’s degree that employers increasingly require in their management personnel.

Who it's for:

  • Associate degree graduates seeking a bachelor’s degree in technology in a particular career area, particularly those with degrees in applied science in technical studies
  • Students with approved workplace training seeking to apply it toward a bachelor’s degree in technology
  • Students of partner institutions, partner organizations, and special programs, including international students
  • DoD civilians with government-sponsored training that has been evaluated for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE)
  • Military service members, spouses, and veterans

How it works:

This is a flexible, career-oriented degree program geared toward the needs of professionals who want to build upon their existing knowledge and training in technology and earn a bachelor’s degree within their career field. Students build essential management skills through core professional requirements and then customize their study based on career interests by selecting an area of focus in electrical technology, information technology, or nuclear technology. Up to 45 elective credits may be applied towards degree requirements.

A total of 120 credits are required, including 30 arts and sciences credits. Areas of focus require 15 credits.
