MIL-STD-1553 DATA BUS COUPLERS
North Hills is a leading world wide supplier of MIL-STD-1553 data bus couplers, testers, and accessories such as cable, connectors, terminators, dust caps, etc. They are a one-stop shop with a variety of custom and off-the-shelf products. Their data bus couplers use transformers with superior performance and product consistency, manufactured in accordance with MIL-T-21038 with excellent common mode rejection ratios.

Wideband Transformers - Wideband Transformers match impedances for maximum power transfer or convert single-ended signals to a balance configuration (balun) for transmission of communication signals. North Hills baluns have low transmission loss and superior return loss. A wide selection of balanced to unbalanced (Baluns) and unbalanced to unbalanced (Ununs) designs in the 20Hz – 300MHz frequency range are available.
Wideband Instrumentation - Longitudinal Balance Bridges,facilitate the measurement of balance, Longitudinal Conversion Loss (LCL) and Longitudinal Transverse Conversion Loss (LTCL) per ITU-T Recommendation O.9. The RLB, RLC, and RLT series of Return Loss Bridges are used to measure the impedances of various devices and networks. Both product lines are designed for use with 50 or 75 ohm network analyzers.
Video Isolation - “Humstoppers” and “Humbuckers ” prevent interference with video and data transmission due to pickup and potential differences between remote grounds. If picture quality is an issue, check out North Hills DC-isolated "Humstoppers" for power-line isolation and DC-coupled "Humbuckers" for common mode noise elimination.
