QED designed and built pressure gauges are widely used in fire suppression, hydraulic, pneumatic and oxygen systems on transport aircraft. QED supplied gauges have been measuring pneumatic pressure on the Sidewinder missile since 1981.
Having built the pressure gauge for the F/A-18 C/Ds arresting hook actuator, QED was called upon to design and qualify a new high performance gauge for the E/F aircraft. By devising and refining two unique design innovations, the company met the customers accuracy and 90 Grms vibration specification.
