About Sea Box, Inc.

Business Type: Manufacturer

Sea Box, Inc. sells, leases and customizes new and used ISO shipping containers for scores of applications and a diverse customer base which stretches world-wide. With 21 years in the industry, Sea Box is a multi-million dollar company with a comprehensive equipment fleet and an experienced design team.

As a general industry rule, ISO shipping containers are available in 20' and 40' sizes and are made of steel or aluminum. However, other sizes are available through Sea Box and alternative materials are also obtainable. They have all container types in their nationwide stock, including dry freight, refrigerated, insulated, open tops, flatracks, tank containers and more. They also carry chassis trailers and other related equipment.

Sea Box is currently building 10' x 8'6" containers (Bi-Cons) for the United States Air Force. These containers, designed to fit inside the C-130 aircraft, are being used to transport equipment to several United States Airbases around the globe.

Custom modifications are their specialty at Sea Box. Personnel doors, windows, lights, vents, paint, and decals are all common requests, but they also perform more specific customization. For example, General Electric needed 20' containers customized with an elaborate cabinet and storage system for tools and supplies used in performing maintenance at nuclear power plants across the United States. They have also built telecommunication shelters, generator stations and water purification stations for their customers. All of which have an ISO footprint to gain the benefits of economical intermodal transportation.
