Servo-Tek’s line of DC Tachometer Generators provides a continuous linear DC voltage from ZERO speed to 12,000 RPM. The bi-directional signal is used to measure and control the speed of motors or any other rotating shaft. Customers can select from a wide range of standard and stock models up to 50 volts per 1000 RPM; or a DC Tachometer Generator can be designed to meet specific requirements. The Tachsyn® brushless Tachometer provides a commutation signal for brushless motors in addition to a low ripple DC Tachometer signal. The Tachsyn is a pancake/ bearingless device that has been used in numerous brushless motor designs. More recently, Servo-Tek has developed an extensive line of Rotary Incremental Encoders. The company offers low cost as well as high performance Incremental Optical Encoders. The PT series is a low cost Hollow Shaft Encoder that is easy to mount. The ST38 Series Hollow Shaft Encoder provides a high performance alternative for modular encoders with resolutions up to 2048 lines. The ST50 Series Hollow Shaft Encoder offers a bandwidth up to 500KHz. Several types of Shaft Encoders are also available. The ST20 offers a heavy-duty sealed shaft design in a 2-inch diameter package, while the ST25 Industrial Encoder offers resolutions up to 5000 lines in a robust 2.5-inch configuration.
