Xomox, a global company with major manufacturing facilities located in Cincinnati, Ohio (World headquarters); Lindau, Germany; Chihuahua and Torreon, Mexico; Madras, and India manufactures valves to ANSI, JIS and DIN standards. Xomox is the world leader in the design and manufacture of quarter turn on-off process valves in alloy and fluorocarbon lined materials.

In June 2001 Xomox was acquired by the Crane Co., a diversified manufacturer of engineered industrial products headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. Crane Co. is a worldwide operation which is diversified in aerospace, engineered materials, merchandising systems, fluid handling, and controls. Crane Co. employs 9,000 people and has annual revenues over $1.5 billion .

Xomox introduced the concept of the non-lubricated sleeved plug valve with the Tufline fluorocarbon-sleeved plug valve. Developed as a result of the advent of Teflon by the E.I. Dupont Corporation, the Teflon primary seal enables the valve to cycle (open and close) without the need for lubrication. Tufline is still the brand name for Xomox product lines and is well recognized in served markets, principally chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper, hydrocarbon processing and other process industries that comprise the CPI.

Additionally, Xomox developed a full line of Fluorocarbon lined (FEP and PFA) valves for severe chemical applications that would otherwise require highly corrosion resistant metallic valves such as alloy 20, hastelloy and titanium. Lined valves are available in plug valve, ball valve, butterfly valve and check valve designs.

Xomox also introduced a high performance butterfly valve line and provides a full line of soft seat and metal seat designs for standard process as well as high temperature and fire-tested applications. This product line is a critical valve design for a wide variety of applications in the chemical, pulp and paper, oil refinery and related process industries.

Xomox has a full line of vane and rack and pinion pneumatic actuators that are applied to provide value added automated valve products to distributors and end user customers.
