United Robotics Co. was founded in January 2000 by Mark Metcalf. In 1986 Mr. Metcalf began a progressive career at GMF/Fanuc Robotics North American in the Field Installation and Service Group. He was vital to the development of the Fanuc Robotics Robot Rebuild Department. As project manager he was involved with and responsible for the successful design, fabrication, integration, installation, and warranty issues of robotic solutions for a variety of customers.

Customer satisfaction has always been paramount to Mr. Metcalf, his reputation of integrity, dedication and excellence was the force that launched URI, as customers specifically demanded his services.

For the past six years Mark Metcalf has been selectively assembling the nucleus of his team with the philosophy that the key to customer satisfaction is talented people who believe in and take pride in what they do. United Robotics Inc. has become known to those in the robotics community as an unsurpassed opportunity for individuals who have the skill sets and a strong desire to excel. Although nearly half of URI's present employees are former Fanuc Robotics employees, Mr. Metcalf has made it a point to maintain a good working relationship with Fanuc Robotics and refrains from recruiting directly from Fanuc Robotics.

Today with a staff that represents over one hundred years of Fanuc Robotics experience; URI is a leader in the repair, refurbishment, spare parts, preventive maintenance management and field service of Fanuc robots. URI also offers used Fanuc robots, robotic integration solutions, tool design & build for their refurbished and used robots; plus custom tailored robot training, and URI Robotic Products. They take pride in their work and stand behind their services and products with the best warranties in the business.

The future is bright indeed for United Robotics, Inc. as they maintain their present customers and add new ones every month. Presently they service customers throughout the United States and Canada and they are constantly preparing and planning for continued growth and success.
